Ķeipene Rampart
Quite unexpectedly, one of the most picturesque landscapes opens up on the side of the road in the Vidzeme highlands between Ķeipene and Taurene. Who knows, maybe it is the most picturesque in all of Latvia? It is really beautiful on a sunny autumn day.
Ķeipene Rampart is a 7 km long hilly massif. You can see beautiful natural landscapes from this ridge of beech trees (the rampart) for tens of kilometers around. It is located in the Central Highlands of Vidzeme in the territory of Ķeipene and Taurupe parishes. There is a small stop on the side of the road in this place.
