An opportunity to relax in the meadow among free-living rabbits and various birds. The rabbits have been domesticated. In the paddock you can see horses, cows with calves, sheep with lambs, piglets and goats with kids. The farm also houses various ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys and other birds. A rabbit is a nocturnal animal, and in the summer, during the heat of the day, it looks for a cooler place (a cave) to sleep, so it is recommended to plan to see rabbits at a time other than noon.
The farm has been managed by Zigmunds Zaķis (in Latvian the surname means Hare) for decades. Once it was one of the largest rabbit farms in the Baltics. Read more about Sigmund in the "Human Stories" section.
The place is open to visitors of any age, especially appealing to children. There is a children's playground with a swing, a trampoline and a cabin.
The place is open for groups after prior registration. The place may not be easily accessible for large vehicles, especially in winter.
The place is available at any time of the year.
