Brežģa hill and the observation tower

In 2017, a wooden observation tower was opened at the top of this hill. The view from this tower brightens the water-filled panorama over the natural treasures of the Vidzeme highlands.

The height of Brežģa Hill is 255 m above sea level, the relative height is 40 m. In clear weather, if you stand on the hill, you can see Alauksta, Zobola, Tauna and Inesis lakes, the upper reaches of Gauja, as well as the surroundings of Taurene and Vecpiebalga.
The place is suitable for visitors of different ages.
The place is available for a large number of visitors.
During the first independent state of Latvia, green balls and open-air theater performances were held on Brežģa hill, and the Ligo Festival was celebrated. The old highway passes over the hill, which, according to people's memories, iced over during the winter. The drivers had to push their cars up the hill, and user their brakes going down the hill to avoid going too fast.
The place is available at any time of the year.
