Lubāna winery

The winery is situated at the foot of the Vidzeme highlands, in Lubāna. They are already in their second decade of producing wines that have the taste of the world! You can buy these flavours, as well as visiting both the brewery and meeting the maker by applying in advance.

You can apply for a tour of the Lubāna winery, a conversation with winemaker Oskars Žvagins, and the opportunity to taste drinks at a pre-arranged time. Oskars got the idea of making wine in 2009, when the summer berry harvest was extremely abundant. Then he remembered that his grandfather had made wine in Soviet times, and the recipes were written on the cabinet door. Read more about Oskars in the "Human Stories" section.

In the factory, you can buy wines produced using world-recognized traditional winemaking methods. Top quality white and sparkling wines from various Latvian fruits, berries and rhubarb. "Dārznieka stiprais" is available for lovers of strong drinks.

Tours and tastings are best suited for small groups.

The Lubāna winery is located in the granary of the former Lubāna manor, while Parka Street used to be the main road of the manor. At the end of the 19th century the Lubāna manor, managed by the Barons von Wolff, was the largest manor in Vidzeme in terms of area.

A wine tasting guided by a winemaker is available for a group of colleagues or an exploratory tour is available for larger groups of tourists. There is also a seminar room on-site. The place is suitable for birthdays, wedding stops, parties and other small celebrations.

The place is available at any time of the year by prior application.
