A 1-1.5-hour long tasting program is offered, which includes the enjoyment of 4 different house wines with snacks, an exciting story, conversations about wine and what has been the key to the secrets of the 101-year-long life of Kārlis Dumbrājs. Read more about Karl's legacy and the work of future generations in the "Human Stories" section.
Every day any interested person can apply for and buy the products produced in the backyard shop. About 20 different types of wines are fermented from forest and garden berries. Wild berry wines have received great recognition and customer demand. These are rich and velvety blueberry wine, aromatic raspberry wine, classic cranberry wine, as well as other types of wine, including quince, rowan, rhubarb, plum, blackcurrant, currant, cherry, gooseberry, and even the wine of the homegrown grapes growing in the garden. However, it is not always possible to enjoy and buy all types of wine at the same time, taking into account the fact that making drinks is a very seasonal, creative and sometimes unpredictable process.
In the summer, groups of up to 65 people can be accommodated in an outdoor tent of the cafe. In winter, the company can provide tasting sessions in warm conditions for groups of up to 35 people.
Taking care of a special mood and musical presentation, "Domu pietura" has become a beautiful stop for young couples and/or wedding guests as well. A birthday event is also available.
You can visit the factory and apply for a tasting session in the winter season too, by prior arrangement.
