Viesakas – deer garden
In Viesakas, one of the most prominent animal breeding complexes, it is possible to visit an equally remarkable hunting museum and try your hand at animals in a safe, versatile shooting range, upon prior application.

The farm is engaged in captive breeding of wild animals and birds. A 500-hectare deer park has been created, where several hundred European red deer, fallow deer and mouflon live. If you are lucky, you can also see moose in the garden. The area is also popular with wild animals and birds - wolves, lynxes, foxes, raccoon dogs, martens and squirrels. Birds protected in Latvia are also often observed – the little eagle, the sea eagle, the osprey, the black stork, the green and the black woodpecker. Sometimes a bear wanders into the vicinity of "Viesakas".
There is a large farm of mallards and pheasants in "Viesakas". Golden, silver and imperial pheasants, brown ducks, peacocks and African ostrich can also be seen at the farm. There are Charolais cows too.
An integral part of "Viesakas" is the licensed shooting range. Currently, Compac sporting, English sporting, and American trap are operating, but the main shooting discipline of the shooting range is FITASC, or big sporting. Created in accordance with all international requirements. There are eight lines with five stands with 3 disc throwing machines. Each one is located on an area of 500 ha with diverse natural relief and beautiful landscape. There are forests, natural meadows and waters. Hunting services are also available.
The place is suitable for visitors of different ages and is also attractive to younger generations.
The place is open for groups; however, the road is not suitable for large vehicles.
You can book a visit to the hunting museum at the farm. The average duration of the tour is from one and a half to two hours. A collection of hunting trophies and a wide exhibition of stuffed local animals and birds can be viewed. Hunting trophies obtained mainly in Latvia are exhibited on two floors of the museum. The collection of stuffed animals and birds of the local fauna allows you to get to know the animals of Latvia closer. A deer breeding exposition has been created, where you can see the proper maintenance of the deer population in hunting farms, as well as a second exposition, where you can see the results of improper deer management. You can also see exotic birds and stuffed animals.
Training sessions and corporate events are available at the shooting range.
