Ozolmuiža (Sidrabiņu) oak alley

The alley is quite long. However, at this point the most beautiful part of the alley can be reached by anyone who enjoys it. The alley is on the list of protected alleys of the state.

The dominant tree species are oak, ash, maple and linden down below. A large variety of hollow and dead trees are available. During the inventory, two specially protected invertebrate species were found in the area of the alley. They are the jet ant (Lasius fuliginosus) and the hermit beetle (Osmoderma barnabita). Also, 61 hollow trees were mapped during the inventory. The variety of cavities is very large. In addition, other microbiotopes important for invertebrate species were also found. They are dead wood, exposed wood, succulent trees, trees with mushroom fruiting bodies, trees with nests of social hymenoptera – hornets. Also, two specially protected lichen species were found in the alley - Sclerophora pallida with 8 deposits and Pleurosticta acetabulum with 5 deposits.
