Vērene fire observation tower

A unique structure on the side of the road, this fire watch tower, although visible only from the outside, is very photogenic and serves as an excellent reference to the ancient Latvian tower-building traditions.

The tower is located in the lush green area of the ancient Vērne manor. The Vērne manor alley leads to the tower, which is on the list of protected alleys of the state.
The tower appeals to different generations.
The unique 33-meter-high fire observation tower has been operating since 1974. It is the only fire observation tower in Latvia with torn wooden chips or a shingles finish.
The place can be viewed from the outside at any time of the year.
