Jāņaskola – Emīls Dārziņš and Jānis Sudrabkalns memorial museum

The museum is set in a scenic country farm, a walking trail is available.
The museum opened in 1969 in "Jāņaskola" of Jaunpiebalga district is dedicated to the life and genius of the composer Emīls Dārziņš (1875–1910). The Oliveretto trail, which winds along the museum, leads into the world of the poet Jānis Sudrabkalns (1894–1975). As a child, living in the nearby Zeltakrogs, he studied at Jāņaskola. Tours are available.

While walking through the premises of the school building built in 1871, listening to the stories of the memorials and the music of Dārziņš, everyone can try to solve three riddles, which are the secrets of the artist's life, death and art. Exhibitions of local artists are also held on site.
