Ežu (Māļu) Ascension Orthodox Church

This small church is “open forever” for now. The church is another witness to the prominence of the Orthodox faith in Tsarist times.

The place is suitable for visitors of different ages.
The place is available for a large number of visitors.
In Soviet times, the church housed an empty container reception point. Nowadays the exterior of the building has been preserved only. At Christmas 2007, a symbolic service was held in the church, which gradually started the renewal of the life of the congregation. In 2020, roof rescue in the amount of 50,000 euros was financed from the state sacred heritage program.
Ežu (Māļu) Orthodox Church was built in 1872. Its architect was the first academically educated Latvian architect Jānis Frīdrihs Baumanis (1834-1891).
The place is available at any time of the year.
