Griezites Alpakas

Griezītes is one of the few alpaca farms in Latvia. It is open for meetings with these fluffy, friendly animals, which are sometimes gifted with a very big personality!

Visitors have the opportunity to go for a walk with the alpacas accompanied by their owners and learn about the daily life and care of these lovely animals.

On the spot, you can get to know how wool is sheared and its products are made. There is a workshop on making products available on the farm. The owners of the place are Ian and Joanna, an English couple who enjoy the nature of Latvia with a herd of alpacas in the Vidzeme highlands. Hand-knitted products from alpaca wool are available – socks, hats, scarves and bibs, also alpaca felt scarves and unique keychains. Each product comes with information about the alpaca that donated the wool for its creation.

Alpacas are very friendly animals and a visit to the farm will delight guests of all ages.

Visits and workshops are possible in small groups of more than 10 people. Communication with the farm is mandatory.
