Zelta Krogs – ski tracks

These tracks are connected with the Vanagkalns and Krepšēni tracks about 50 km long (and are open with its own equipment for the time being). So, you can definitely agree with the owner of “Zelta Kroga” Jānis Melbārd, who believes that there is no need to go to Lapland anymore, because it is right here in Piebalga!

The tracks are specially designed for spectacular nature enjoyment, they lead through meandering meadows, and they wind past beautiful farmsteads and lakes, over scenic hills and through fabulous forests.

There are 4 different tracks available with a total length of around 35km, and their use is currently on a donation basis: 1. Zeltiņi loop 9km track (skating and classic) is for fans of speed and excitement. The quality of the track is always excellent, as long as the wind doesn't blow it away; Jānēnu-Brektu 15km circuit (classic) keeps the magnificence of Piebalga's unique landscape with scope and the pride of Zelta Krogs, which is a mandatory program for every lover of classics; Lielcebuļu-Bricu lake 5km Backcountry circuit (classic) - silence, romance and the wildness of nature. 4. Telviešu-Purva 6km Backcountry circuit (classic) – a very diverse landscape with hills, forests and farmsteads. Both Backcountry circuits are intended more for the leisurely enjoyment of nature without sporting ambitions, as the classic track is laid without a specially tamped and smoothed base.

The place is suitable for an unlimited number of people. Equipment is not provided.
