Visagala alley

Visagala alley is very dense and scenic, although still only on the list of potentially protected alleys. It should be noted that it is better suited for walking, as part of the road in the southern direction from the Visagal cemetery is not accessible for driving.

The avenue contains middle-aged broad-leaved trees, mainly maples, but there are also lindens, ash trees and oaks. The trees grew in an open area, they have the signs of well-lit crowns. Currently, there are trees well-lit by the sun in the northern section of the alley from the Lubāna-Ļaudona highway to the cemetery. The section south of the cemetery is shaded by dense vegetation and bushes. In general, the alley is characterized by the dominance of middle-aged trees of one age generation. The alley has a distinct, continuous structure, both before and after the Visagala cemetery. The alley is scenic and the road of the allay has curves. The alley is placed on the terrain.
Since most of the alley is not drivable, it is perfect for hiking. It is approximately 1.2 km long. The landscape can be included in an easy circle that starts near the Visagal cemetery, leads to the highway, then to the right to the Kapu lake and further along the highway to the sign "Pulkveža O. Kalpaka kaps". The sign leads back to the Visagal cemetery along continuation of the same alley. The total length of the route is less than 4 km. You can find more about the Kapu lake here, on the "Vidzemēs" website.
