Šubrakkarasti is located in a fabulous place in the vicinity of Gaiziņkalns. The name of the guest house comes from the stream "Šubraka", which flows along the foot of the guest house, and marks the border of two rural territories and municipalities on the map. Here, the eye is treated to beautiful gardens and a wide landscaped area that includes cascades of ponds and a hill near the house with a serpentine path. The guest house is located in the woods, so you won't have to worry about neighbours or traffic noise.

You can easily learn the game of meadow golf in Šubrakkrasti. The territory of the course surrounds a 15-hectare meadow with a terrain characteristic of Vidzeme. The course has both water hazards and sand bunkers, which make the golf game much more exciting and interesting. Meadow golf is a variation of classic golf with a less mown playing area and some deviations from the basic rules of the game.
The Aizstrauts family started their business here in the fall of 1989, in the middle of nowhere, in an abandoned building without doors, windows and electricity. "Kalnozoli" (or currently "Šubrakkrasti") is a place with a very rich history, because before that there was a dairy here and various social and economic events took place actively. It is safe to say that at that time there was no shortage of people here and there was a shop and telephone exchange too. Unfortunately, the twists and turns of history ruined everything. Only the ruins are evidence of the former active life and events. The only building that has been preserved from when the Aizstrauts family started their business here is the dairy building built in 1930. Read more about the family in the "Human Stories" section.
The place is perfect for children and families, especially in the winter season.
Šubrakkrasti can accommodate groups of at least 50 people or celebrants.
The guest house has eight well-furnished rooms with beds for up to 30 persons and additional beds for up to 25 persons. The price includes an equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, a novuss table, billiards, TV/Sat, Wi-Fi, a landscaped area with a fireplace, a pond for swimming and boat trips, a tour of the "Šubrakkrasti" farm and the metalworking workshop of SIA "ARA Kalnozols". A sauna and cold pool are available.
The guest house has a kitchen for seminars, conferences, weddings and celebrations and a fireplace hall for banquets and celebrations for up to 45 people (with an exit to the balcony). The summer party hall for up to 60 people is located in the adjacent building. It is possible to design/decorate the premises. The large park tent (6 x 12 m), provides the possibility of engraving of special wedding decorations, engraving your motto on a board, which is left on a special bridge in the guest house, decoration and design of the open-air altar, or preparation of the ceremony site.
A lighted, well-maintained 34 ha area with a forest and ponds for holding sports games and camps are offered. A range of different options are offered, e.g., a football field, two volleyball fields, an area for holding various activities, such as frisbee, archery, various relays, etc. There is a forest around the guesthouse where you can organize various competitions and orienteering games. There are ponds for water competitions and fishing too.
The area is illuminated and decorated during the snowy season. Cross-country skiing and ski/boot rentals, snow cameras or sleds are available. A snowmobile ride is offered to lovers of extreme sensations. Skiing is available only in natural snow conditions.
