Pļavnas is one of the largest privately built recreation and nature complexes in the Vidzeme highlands. It is a hard-working family company that has nurtured itself in a beautiful natural setting and does not intend to stop!
The large farm, which is rich in natural objects, has four recreation areas, which are easily accessible by car and the surrounding area is especially suitable for pitching tents. The gazebo is made of wood with a thatched roof. Inside there is a table and a bench, while outside there is a fire place, as well as a static grill for cooking over the fire. Wigwams, which consist of three houses of different sizes, are also equipped with a grill. The largest of them has a table and chairs. There is also a pancake house located next to the active recreation area and near the trout pond. You can bake pancakes on a real wood-fired oven and feast at a table placed right under the roof. There is also a fish smokehouse in the gazebo. Finally, there is a stage with a wooden plank floor and benches. It is surrounded by the waters of the Palsa river, meadows and trees.
A sauna is also available, which must be booked in advance. Several ponds have been adapted and landscaped on the farm for fishing for pike, carp, tench, perch, crucian carp, burbot, roach, ide, bream and trout. Boat rental is also available.
The place is perfect for visitors of all ages. The youngest will be attracted by a well-equipped active recreation area with football, volleyball and children's fields, as well as the opportunity to practice their balance skills while walking on a rope (slack line).
The place is suitable for the visit of large groups and large events.
The large guest house has 17 rooms with 60 beds. Rooms of different sizes, furnishings, most with amenities in the room. All the windows open out on to a beautiful rural landscape.
The small two-story wooden house has two bedrooms on the second floor with a living room and kitchen on the first floor, as well as a small loggia. The cottage has amenities, a refrigerator and also an electric stove. The house has beds for 11 people and the possibility of arranging additional places.
The barn house is ideal for a group of friends in the summer. On the second floor there are three rooms with 12 beds. On the first floor there is a large kitchen. The facilities are outside the cottage.
The large guest house offers 5 halls for 30 to 100 people for big celebrations and just pleasant moments of being together. A stage is available for various outdoor activities. It has served for wedding ceremonies, concerts, dances, gymnastics and even theater. The area and infrastructure can be used for small sports games.
The farm is open and beautiful even in the snowy season.
