The former fields, barns and mountains of waste have been replaced by a wide, scenic 14 ha internal territory with a 0.5 ha through-flow swimming pool, sports fields, introduction/bypass canals of the Amata river with a total length of 1.5 km. New additional landscaping works are carried out every year.
The guesthouse was opened in 2006. The building had to be almost completely reconstructed. Only the facade and some interior walls were left intact. The project and design were developed by the owner herself. Architect Zaiga Gaile helped a lot. The special atmosphere of Bille was given by Astra Marija Reine with the wonderful wall, ceiling and facade paintings. The last large-scale reconstruction was carried out in the summer of 2018, when the roofing over the Golden Hall was changed, and in the winter of 2018, when the apartments were reconstructed. On the 1st floor of the guesthouse, there is an equipped kitchenette for the needs of guests.
The place is available for visitors of different generations. There are 2 playgrounds and a trampoline for the children to enjoy. There are rabbits living on the territory, and an indoor children's corner with toys, board games, books.
The place is perfect for large groups of up to 110 people. In addition to the usual offer, rooms for a total of between 6 and 26 overnight guests are also available in the attic. Meals from Salt&Pepper are available, starting at 18 people and by reservation in advance only.
In 1876, the Bille complex was built by an ambitious Spanish lady named Izabella, from whose name the name Bille is also derived. Originally, there was a woolen fabric factory here. Beautiful hats and coats were created from the resulting fabric. In Soviet times, the property was expropriated and turned into a branch of the sock factory "Aurora". Izabella also created the first hydroelectric power station (HEP) in Latvia under the main part of the building. It was restored in 2002, and in 2011 the turbines of the station were moved to a special house. A river bypass still goes through the main building of the complex.
The guesthouse offers a wide range of suites with 2 - 6 beds and one or two rooms. There are also several suites with private entrances and LUX-class rooms. You can rent a sauna and contrast pool complex with a cold-water circuit, and a hot hydromassage outdoor tub with led lights. There is a beach, sports fields on the riverbank (sand volleyball, football, next to the beach), indoor table tennis, novus, table hockey, darts, board games and a fireplace available. You can use several grills and go fishing as well. Tent sites are available.
