Lake Kapu
Relaxation at the small Lake Kapu is not as grotesque as its name. Here you can enjoy the refreshing water and the surrounding nature without any worries!
The lake and its surroundings with an area of 17 ha have been a nature reserve and a Natura 2000 area since 2004. Kapu Lake is perfectly maintained and very beautiful. It has a well-equipped bonfire place, a swimming area, and a changing cabin. It is one of the few clear water lakes in Latvia, scenic, with wooded (pine and mixed trees) shores. The lake is not overgrown, with rich stands of lake quillworts, Sparganium gramineum and yellow pond-lilies (two of them are specially protected species in Latvia, and all three are included in the Red Book).
