Before the economic crisis in 2008, the picturesque land property was still one of the dream projects of businessman Gunārs Ķirsons. The idea of a competitor to the Gaiziņš sports base - Lido mountain - was also floated, but the manor had to be auctioned due to debts. Since 2012, the property has been owned by Russian-born billionaire and oligarch Yuri Scheffler.
