Kaives Manor Park

Kaives manor was rapidly lost during the 20th century, and it no longer provides evidence of the once grand living which happened here. However, its park is still preserved and is cherished!

In the park, you can see the oak sculptures that were made at the symposium of sculptors from Latvia and other countries "Wood and Axe" (2006). The park offers a picturesque view of the open-air stage and Kaives Lake. Fans of active recreation can play volleyball in the park, while the younger generation can develop themselves and work on the active recreation field.
The place is suitable for visitors of different ages.
The place is available for a large number of visitors.
In 1440, the master of the Livonian Order granted Johan Kaiven land for the establishment of a manor. According to one of the versions, this is how the name Kaives came about.
The building of the Kaives manor was burned down during the riots of 1905. During World War II, the building of the manor manager was also destroyed. The dry house burned down in 1956, and the manor pub burned down in the 1980s. Only the warehouse built in 1861 (a red brick building) and the wine and ice cellars have survived to this day. The ice cellar has been renovated and adapted for social summer events, while the wine cellar is still waiting for its rebirth.
