The bakery was created by Laura Nikolovska, who returned to her native Madona with her family after living in Riga for ten years. Several members of her family have been engaged in baking cakes, including great-grandfather Ernests – a favorite bread and cupcake baker in Madona, right in the basement of the old extension next to the "Kūku feja". The owner of this building knows how to tell how they went on the run with Laura's great-grandfather. Ernests dragged several sacks of sugar with him because it was gold at that moment. Laura's grandfather also baked cakes. Read more about Laura in the "Human Stories" section.
In the cafe, you can buy pastries to take away or enjoy them on the spot indoors or on the terrace. A wide variety of cupcakes and whole cakes, mousses, meringues, cookies, muffins, macaroons and other sweet products are available.
