The integrated farm "Jāņkalni" was founded in 1992, but its story has already spanned three generations. It is the passion and love for nature that forms the farm and is passed on through the products of "Jāņkalni". One of the largest bush blueberry farms in Madona county was cultivated during the farming of father Uldis Ozoliņš on an area of 7 ha. Now the area of 20 ha is cultivated under the supervision of his son Māris Ozoliņš. There you can find blueberry plantations, which coexist amicably with strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb plantations, as well as rows of quince, apple, sea buckthorn and pears, also Latvia's largest berry - pumpkin. Read more about the Ozolini family in "Human Stories".
The farm prepares various jams and purees, as well as frozen rhubarb and blueberries. Dried fruits and berries are offered. One of the most sought-after types of processed products are natural juices, to which no sugar or preservatives are added. The farm is also engaged in growing and selling seedlings.
Visiting the processing department and tasting the products will certainly be interesting for children and young people.
Jāņkalni can host larger groups, offering a tour of the farm and processing department and tasting of products.
