This cactus house is a unique place in the Vidzeme highlands, which is surprisingly abundant with immortal, knitted and crocheted cactuses!

The owner of the Cactus House is Lolita Bālere, a tinkerer whose passion is handicrafts. There are currently about 250 different knitted and crocheted cacti in the collection of the cactus house. Each of them is an original handmade work. Read more about Lolita in the "Human Stories" section.
All of the pieces are available for purchase. Income from visiting the exhibition is donated to animal shelters.
The place is attractive to visitors of different ages, especially children. The visit must be booked in advance.
