Odziena Lake
Cherished by local activists, Odziena Lake has not lost its charm and purity and attracts a large number of summer vacationers and fishermen in several swimming spots.

A scenic, renovated swimming and picnic area with boardwalk, toilet, changing cabin and gazebo is available. Ozolkalni spring is situated next to the swimming area.
The association organizes float fishing and spinning competitions in Aiviekste river and Odziena lake.
A special association takes care of Odziena lake. In April 2019, the area around the lake was cleaned, a bonfire place was built, and the old footbridge was dismantled as part of the big spring clean of Latvia. The gazebo was made and installed with the support of local resident Lauris Mitenieks and his company "Mitthus". Reeds were cut on the shores of the lake with the support of Mētriena hunters, involving the Barkava real estate maintenance department. At the beginning of June, the next clean-up was organized, starting to build a toilet and a changing area. This time Ralfs Yefimovs helped with timber. With the support of the Mētriena parish administration, especially Andris Dzenovskis, a new footbridge was installed in the lake. The employees of the parish were also involved. They helped to finish making and painting the new wooden structures.
