Bākūža hill

When you visit the Bākūzis hill, you can get the best of both worlds. The hill and the road are both very scenic. The road starts at the ruins of the mill and leads past a well-hidden but interesting monument of industrial history – the remains of the triangulation point. He who seeks finds!

The mountain is about 2 km long, a north-south oriented primary massif with distinctly steep slopes. The mountain has 3 conical peaks: Bākūzis (272.4 m a.s.l.), Egļu kalns (267.5 m a.s.l.) and Laktas kalns (250.4 m a.s.l.). A wonderful view of its valley opens from Bākūzis hill. The road to it is also picturesque. It starts at the ruins of the Windmill on Laktas hill.
The place is well suited for hiking. All the highlands mentioned are easily reachable on foot.
The place is suitable for visitors of different generations.
The triangulation point is located on the 268 m high Egļukalns. There is a square burial, a wooden tower, buried in the ground GPS: 56.918735189111, 25.92477265044492
